I’m lookin’ for registrations of interest for a fun filled weekend away in a gun slingin’ Old West Town.
Who: Squaddies and their families (or you could have a cheeky weekend away).
What: The Old West Town is surrounded by one thousand acres of unspoilt native bush. They have tracks throughout them there hills for horse trekking, hiking and these said trails will be perfect for trail running. One of the trails starts at the town and winds up to the top ridges with views out to Mount Ruapehu.

You step back in time and experience the charm of the Old West from our luxurious premium rooms, elegantly furnished in Victorian style, to our western activities and lip smackin cowboy cuisine.’
We do encourage our guests to wear western gear to add that extra touch of authenticity to their western experience. In the evening ‘The Old West Town’ comes alive with old time poker tables, and honky-tonk piano in the Lucky Strike Saloon all at no extra cost and makes for a memorable stay.
When: Date TBC depending on interest. Probably October/November (needless to say we will be avoiding the two big races at that time- Tarawera and Taupo).

Why: Because it would be a pretty fun and unique experience. A chance to go for a run in a different location and then have a good old catch up with your Squadrun mates.
